How to Join
There are three ways to become a member of CNBC:
1. By Profession of Faith
Making a profession of faith is simply declaring publicly that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and have been saved. A man once asked, "What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30) If you are wondering the same thing, then follow these steps:
Know that God loves you and has a plan for you. The Bible says, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”—a complete life full of purpose (John 10:10).
Realize that you are a sinner, someone who has disobeyed and displeased God like everyone else has, and that you need God's forgiveness. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Acknowledge that there is a penalty for your sin, but that penalty was paid for you by Jesus Christ when He died on the cross! The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) Also - But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
If you repent of your sin - stop the sinful behavior - and believe what the Bible teaches about Jesus, and confess that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, then you will be saved from your sins! “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. ... For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-13)
So, to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, simply pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I can't make it through life on my own. I'm imperfect; I have sinned. But I know that You have loved me so much that You died on the cross for me. That's so amazing I cannot understand it; I can only accept it. And I do. I accept Your free gift, and I know that from this moment on, I am saved. I give the rest of my life to loving and serving You. Help me to be more like Jesus every day. Amen.
If you just prayed this prayer, or if you have questions about accepting Christ, then please call the church at 972-541-0261 and ask to speak with Dr. B, the pastor. Or you may email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
God bless you as you establish a fresh relationship with Him and begin a journey of walking in His ways.
